Input File Formats
LITE license doesn't support reading PDF files as input. STANDARD and ENTERPRISE don't have this limitation.
Multi-threading/Multi-processing
For LITE and STANDARD licenses, only one process can invoke OCR functions on a computer at any time and this process is only able to access OCR functions from only one thread it owns. To do multi-processing with LITE and STANDARD licenses, you need to use multiple computers. ENTERPRISE license does not have this limitation.
If you are developing a desktop based application, LITE or STANDARD version may meet your requirement. For server based applications, an ENTERPRISE version is probably a better choice as you can make full use of all CPU cores and hyper-threads.

OS Restriction
Some license types may carry OS (operation system) restrictions. For example, LITE license allow you to select 2 types of OS from total of 20+ supported OS. Both STANDARD and ENTERPRISE licenses offer a discount if you only need to develop and applications on 4 OS only. Select 'All' for maximum OS support - in this case, you are able to access OCR from all supported OS.
Seats = Number of Developers and Testers
If you have 1 developer and 1 tester working on the application, you need to order 2 seats. We offer unlimited seats package at significantly reduced price. "Unlimited Seats" means all the developers and testers in your legal entity are allowed to develop with Asprise OCR library.
For global international organizations with multiple legal entities, please contact us for assistance.

Minimum Quantity For Single Developer Licenses
BACKGROUND
At Asprise, our priority is to deliver high quality developer-friendly products instead of vigorously implementing intrusive license protections. However, sometimes our good will has been taken advantage of. The typical size of an agile team is around 7, while some companies get used to order one single developer license and share among all the developers/testers.
MINIMUM QUANTITY: 2
In order to be fair with all our clients, we required that the minimum order quantity of Single Developer Licenses is 2.
EXEMPT: START-UP COMPANIES* & CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS
*A start-up company must meet all of the following criteria in order to be considered as exempt:
- Was incorporated within two years; and
- Has employed or contracted no more than four persons at any time in the twelve months prior to the order date.
Please send relevant proof documents to us. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change these requirements from time to time.
